It looks brand new and works great. The biggest problem I have is the inverter I use in my off grid system is not good for bread machines or anything with a computer chip or clock (when I plug in my alarm clock, it runs way too fast), I don't have the funds available to buy a pure sine wave inverter... so I make bread at my neighbor's house. :)

Hope you can get a bread machine, maybe for Christmas, they aren't really that expensive any more.

WrethaWrethaOffGridhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04941116263529261885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2368819148999076470.post-66182610243719172762008-12-16T06:39:00.000-06:002008-12-16T06:39:00.000-06:00Hey Wretha--maybe I'll get lucky and find a good u...Hey Wretha--maybe I'll get lucky and find a good used bread machine this year. I've never had very good luck with yeast breads. Now soup, soup I can do!
Onwards,
HMPatriciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11257697880645849334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2368819148999076470.post-1577710697850448182008-12-15T14:02:00.000-06:002008-12-15T14:02:00.000-06:00Your recipe inspired me to make my own version usi...Your recipe inspired me to make my own version using what I had on hand.

Into the pot went:
1 can of chicken stock
1 can of chicken
1 can of carrots (juice and all)
1 onion, cut up and sauteed
1 tablespoon minced garlic sauteed
some salt, pepper, dried parsley

I sauteed the onion and garlic until softened and slightly browned, then added all the other ingredients, I simmered for a while. I had some left over homemade bread (I use a bread machine, it takes most of the guess work away), my hubby liked it with the bread, I preferred adding crackers, I guarantee it was GOOD EATS!

Today we will be having homemade pizza, the dough will be made in the bread machine. :)

WrethaWrethaOffGridhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04941116263529261885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2368819148999076470.post-54458473300266701672008-12-15T12:56:00.000-06:002008-12-15T12:56:00.000-06:00Vital Wheat Gluten? Then, I read as a footnote in some recipe book to use Vital Wheat Gluten and baking powder. For 2 loaves I use 1/4 cup Vital Wheat Gluten and 1 teaspoon baking powder. The loaves come out light, well risen and just yummy.

On the other hand, when my bread fails, I use it for bread pudding, coutons, french bread, and Tuscan soup,etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
